“At Your Service Sunday” – Dec 6

Second Chance Church is cancelling church!

That’s right… SCC will be cancelling it’s Sunday morning services on Dec 6 in order to send it’s team out into a variety of areas around Peoria to simply serve and spread the love of Jesus Christ.  Here’s the plan: 9:15 am – Team members arrive at SCC for a 15 minute pep-talk, prayer & blessing. 9:30 am – Team members are dispersed through greater Peoria to serve in the following ways:

• Partnering with Teen Challenge to assist them in their “10 Million Pound Challenge”.  The challenge is all about collecting a variety of clothing items and other items that will help to serve their ministry.
• Free Gift Wrapping and Package Carry-Out – We’ll have teams at local WalMarts as well as Grand Prairie to offer free gift wrapping and to assist with carrying packages out to vehicles.
• Service Station Service – We will have multiple teams scattered around various service stations to clean windows, pump gas, check oil, and assist in any way possible to drivers as they arrive.
• Bread Delivery – We will be delivering bread from Trefzger’s Bakery in several areas around Peoria to show love and care.

Is it radical to cancel a Sunday morning service to go serve instead?  Sure…. but the love of Jesus compels us to a radical life of service.   Want to join us in the effort?  Come to SCC on November 22 or 29 and get signed up.
